What To Expect

My Vehicle
Acupuncture Treatment

Once you’ve submitted your new client paperwork, I will call you to schedule an appointment.

At this time, I am a solo practitioner with no support staff, so if I don’t answer the phone when you call, or don’t call you back right away, I am likely with another client. I have scheduled myself two blocks of time in the day to make calls, so if you haven’t heard from me in 24 hours, please follow up.

I will arrive at your house with my equipment in a marked vehicle and call to let you know I have arrived.

Please have your dog on a leash or your cat in a carrier or a small room with no furniture to hide under to make my arrival as calm as possible for them.

We will start with a full medical history where I review your paperwork and ask questions about pain, previous injuries or surgeries, problem behaviors, and any current treatments. I will then perform a neurologic, orthopedic, and myofascial exam.

I will discuss my findings and make my treatment recommendations.

I charge a flat fee for the exam and whatever treatments we agree are the most appropriate for your pet. That way, I get to practice the best quality care and you can relax knowing that none of our treatment decisions are financially motivated. The only a-la-carte service is home laser rental.

After their treatment, your pet may experience a little sleepiness or soreness, you may notice mildly runny eyes or nose, increased bowel movements, gas, or urinations, but more commonly, you won’t notice much of a difference right away. Benefits tend to start showing up within 24 hours and get better and better with repeated treatment.

A verbal plan will be provided to you at the end of your appointment for the recommended frequency and duration of treatment as well as home exercises you can do to enhance the treatments. This will be followed up with an email summary within 24 hours.
